San Andres is the second largest municipality in the province of Catanduanes in terms of population and land area. It is situated 17 kilometers northwest of Virac, the capital town of the province. On the north, it is bounded by the municipality of Caramoran, on its northwest the Maqueda Channel and on the southwest portion by the Lagonoy Gulf.
San Andres is a community of God loving, morally upright citizenry, united, self-reliant and active partners in local governance under sustainable socio-economic and ecologically-balanced environment.
The Municipal Government of San Andres shall lead in the implementation of programs, projects and activities toward a sustainable progress and ecological balance through active people’s participation, transparency and effective mangemeent and utilization of resources.
